Amenfi Central MP Invests GH¢3.6 Million in Youth Empowerment and Community Development

The Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central, Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe, has fulfilled a key campaign promise. She invested GH¢3.6 million in youth empowerment and community infrastructure.

Hon. Gyan Cudjoe donated various items to support skill acquisition. These include hairdryers, sewing machines, cutlasses, and streetlights. The focus is on helping young people and informal workers in her constituency.

At a distribution event on May 14, 2025, she explained her donations. Many constituents had requested tools to improve their trades during her campaign.

In total, the MP provided 1,000 boxes of hairdryers. This includes 500 delivered today after a similar donation last month. She also donated 400 hairdryer stands, 500 sewing machines, and 500 boxes of cutlasses.

Additionally, youth in apprenticeship programs will receive GH¢400 monthly stipends. This will help cover their living expenses while they train.

To address infrastructure needs, Hon. Gyan Cudjoe procured 500 streetlights for underserved communities. These areas lack reliable electricity and public lighting.

In response to youth demands for sports support, she donated over 400 footballs and jerseys. She also provided 50 trophies to encourage sports development and community engagement.

Hon. Gyan Cudjoe reaffirmed her commitment to empowering women and unskilled youth. This investment is part of her vision for sustainable livelihoods and community growth.
