Kennedy Osei Nyarko, the Akyem Swedru MP, has spoken out about the Judiciary. He warned that removing the Chief Justice would cause division.
There are ongoing efforts to remove the Chief Justice. Several petitions have been submitted to the president for consideration.
The Chief Justice can respond to these petitions. The Council of State is also reviewing them.
In a social media post, Nyarko expressed his concerns. He believes this attempt could weaken and destroy the Judiciary.
He stated that such actions should not be allowed if a strong Judiciary is desired. His post emphasized that attempts to remove the Chief Justice are attacks on the Judiciary.
Nyarko noted that previous attempts to remove Chief Justices were unsuccessful. He urged that current efforts should also fail.
