Bagbin vows to prioritize national interest amid NDC Majority challenge

Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin has acknowledged the challenges posed by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) majority in the House but assured his commitment to non-partisan leadership.

Speaking after his swearing-in on January 7, Bagbin pledged to prioritize the collective interests of all Ghanaians over political affiliations.

“The significant NDC numbers present a challenge, but my focus remains on national interests, not partisan politics,” Bagbin stated.

He emphasized the importance of fostering democracy and ensuring parliamentary proceedings serve the greater good, irrespective of party lines.

“The interests of Ghanaians—whether NDC, NPP, PNC, or independent—are what truly matter,” Bagbin added, underscoring his dedication to inclusive and democratic governance.
