‘Bribery allegations are nothing new, but no proof exists’ – Deputy Minority Leader

Deputy Minority Leader in Parliament, Patricia Appiagyei, has dismissed claims of bribery in the ministerial vetting process, stating that while such allegations persist, no concrete evidence has ever been presented.

Speaking on PM Express on Joy News, she emphasized that accusations of financial inducements are often speculative and unproven.

She recalled a similar case under former Appointments Committee Chair Joe Osei Owusu, where those who made bribery claims later apologized after failing to substantiate them.

Appiagyei stressed that Parliament has investigated past concerns, finding no wrongdoing.

She maintained that the vetting process remains fair and transparent, urging critics to back their claims with facts rather than speculation. Her remarks come amid growing public scrutiny over the integrity of the process.
