Bryan Acheampong urges unity in NPP as he awaits committee report on his political future

Dr. Bryan Acheampong, MP for Abetifi, has called for unity in the New Patriotic Party (NPP). This follows the party's poor performance in the 2024 elections.

He spoke to party members about an exploratory committee he formed. This committee will engage with party members and Ghanaians. It aims to determine his political future within the party. The committee will complete its work in one month.

The focus will be on aligning his vision with party and public priorities. Key issues include jobs, food security, youth development, safety, and infrastructure.

Dr. Acheampong emphasized the need for unity among party members. He urged them to rebuild public trust and prepare for a comeback.

Reflecting on his political journey, he described his role in the NPP as “lifelong and deeply personal.” He shared his experiences as a grassroots organizer and four-term MP.

He also mentioned being a cabinet minister and long-time party financier. These roles have given him insights into dedication and strategic vision needed for the party's success.

Dr. Acheampong reaffirmed his loyalty to the NPP. He expressed optimism about its future despite current challenges.

He stated, “I believe in the Party’s capacity to overcome its challenges.” He encouraged all NPP faithful to remain steadfast in spirit and conduct.

His statement concluded with a call for progress, inclusivity, and effective leadership for Ghana.
