Ofoase-Ayirebi MP and former Works and Housing Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, has criticized the Mahama administration for what he calls a lack of real expenditure cuts in the 2025 budget.

Speaking on Asempa FM, he dismissed claims of reduced spending, arguing that government expenditures have actually increased.

He challenged the administration to provide evidence of cost-cutting measures, insisting that transparency is key.

Oppong Nkrumah also questioned the reduction in government agencies, stating that cutting the number from eight to four does not necessarily mean lower spending.

He further suggested that funds being used elsewhere could have financed projects like Agenda 111 hospitals and banks, urging the government to clarify its spending priorities.
