On Tuesday, April 16, the Suzuki showroom in Accra was lively. CFAO Mobility Ghana launched the latest Suzuki Swift. The event attracted fleet owners, individual customers, and auto enthusiasts. Everyone was excited to see this iconic model.
The launch featured a sleek setup with over 100 guests. Mr. Adedamola Adelabu, Managing Director of CFAO Mobility Ghana, opened the evening. He stated that this launch was more than just a new vehicle introduction.
“We celebrate innovation and local empowerment,” he said. The new Suzuki Swift is assembled in Ghana at TTMG assembly plant. It is the only vehicle built from over 1,000 components in the country.
Mr. Adelabu praised the Swift as a symbol of Japanese engineering and Ghanaian resilience. “This vehicle reflects innovativeness and a forward-looking mindset,” he added. Mr. Fabrice Morin, Director of Operations – Sales & Aftersales, shared insights on the Swift’s journey since 2004.
Now in its fourth generation, over 9 million units have been sold globally. The Swift has won more than 60 awards across 20 countries. “In six words,” Mr. Morin summarized, “the new Swift is stylish, sporty, and fun to drive.”
Prince Hanson Ofosu-Amponsah guided guests through comparisons between models. He highlighted significant upgrades in design and technology for the all-new Swift GL+. Guests applauded as the cover lifted to reveal its bold exterior.
Key features include projector-style headlights and sculpted LED taillights. Inside, high-quality fabric seats and a floating touchscreen infotainment system impress visitors. The system supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Under the hood, the Swift GL+ has an optimized 1.2L engine with automatic transmission. It replaces the previous auto-gear-shift system for better performance on hills. Safety features now include six airbags instead of two from earlier models.
As guests explored the Swift, they captured memorable moments with the Suzuki team. The event turned into a lively networking session filled with excitement about the future.
The launch symbolized a commitment to mobility innovation and local manufacturing in Ghana. The Swift is proudly assembled in Ghana for Ghanaians’ needs.
Mr. Adelabu stated that fuel-efficient vehicles like the Swift help Ghanaians save money and travel farther easily. If enthusiasm from this evening is any indication, the all-new Suzuki Swift will make a lasting impression on Ghana’s roads.
