The Constitution Review Committee (CRC) is increasing its consultations. This is part of efforts to gather input on changes to Ghana’s 1992 Constitution.
This week, the Committee met with key figures. These included former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. They also met with Hon. Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, a former Majority Leader.
The discussions focused on various constitutional and governance issues. The Committee found these meetings "very productive." They aim to build national consensus on proposed reforms.
The CRC plans to publish a new schedule for public engagements soon. These events will be held in selected locations across the country. They will allow citizens to share their views directly.
In the meantime, the Committee encourages public submissions. People can send written proposals via email at: [email protected].
