Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin believes the cedi's stability is not sustainable.
He argues that the cedi's strength is not due to Dr. Ato Forson's actions.
Instead, he claims the government has not made any payments since taking office.
Afenyo-Markin warns that once payments begin, the cedi may lose its stability.
He predicts a potential free fall soon.
He stated, "The cedi is stable not because of Dr. Forson’s efforts."
"It is stable because the government is not spending money," he added.
"There are no payments to contractors and little liquidity in the economy."
He emphasized that many certificates remain unpaid, with none settled so far.
"The Finance Ministry hasn't paid anyone," he said on Adom TV.
"They only pay for Jubilee House expenses and other official costs."
"But they have not compensated private sector creditors."
