Contestants in 2024 Presidential Primaries will join me on the Thank You Tour —Bawumia

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the former Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), announced a nationwide tour. He will be joined by colleagues who contested him in the primaries.

Bawumia aims to present a united front during this tour. He shared this plan while speaking at the party's headquarters on April 23, 2025.

This time, all party leadership and primary contestants are invited. Bawumia believes unity is essential for winning the 2028 elections.

He stated, "If we are united, we will win. If not, we will face challenges." He wants to break from tradition and include former contestants in the thank-you tour.

Typically, past candidates like Adu Boahen and Akufo-Addo conducted solo tours. Bawumia wants to change that for greater unity within the party.

The NPP's thank-you tour starts on April 26, 2025, in the Western Region. It will conclude on June 4 in the Central Region of Ghana.
