Samuel Nartey George, the Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram, has issued a stern warning to the outgoing government against signing or backdating contracts after the 2024 general elections.

In a Facebook post, he highlighted concerns over attempts to finalize a contract on the Ghana.gov platform, calling such moves a threat to governance integrity during the transition.

“The attempt to sign a contract on the Ghana.gov platform should cease immediately,” George stated, adding that the incoming administration of President-elect John Dramani Mahama would not recognize such agreements.

He assured Ghanaians that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is monitoring activities during the transition and reiterated the party’s commitment to transparency.

George urged the outgoing administration to act in good faith, warning that backdated contracts would be deemed invalid under the new government.
