A petition challenging the eligibility of Nana Ama Dokua Asiamah-Adjei, the New Patriotic Party’s parliamentary candidate for Okaikwei North, to vote in the constituency has been dismissed by the court.
The case was brought by Kingsley Anyamasah, questioning her eligibility during the voter register exhibition.
Asiamah-Adjei, who is currently the MP for Akuapem North, has chosen to run in Okaikwei North instead.
Her lawyer, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, confirmed the dismissal of the petition, clearing the way for her candidacy in the upcoming elections, boosting her campaign.
