John Dramani Mahama, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, has criticized the government’s District Road Improvement Programme (DRIP), claiming it was poorly planned.
While DRIP aims to equip local assemblies with tools to rehabilitate roads, Mahama argued that its implementation was rushed, with issues like improper transportation of equipment and a lack of skilled operators.
Speaking during his campaign tour in Bono, he suggested the ruling party launched DRIP for political gains.
President Akufo-Addo launched DRIP to improve road networks and decentralize development, commissioning 2,240 machines to boost infrastructure across Ghana.
