South Dayi MP Rockson Nelson Dafeamekpor has apologized to Majority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin over remarks about police outriders.
Speaking on TV3, Dafeamekpor suggested the former Majority Leader once moved with a 50-military convoy.
Though he didn’t name Afenyo-Markin, fellow panelist Martin Kpebu did.
Afenyo-Markin, calling into the show, dismissed the claim, stating that using police outriders is standard for his role.
He emphasized that previous Minority Leaders like Haruna Iddrisu and Benjamin Kumbuor had similar privileges.
Acknowledging the reaction, Dafeamekpor admitted he may have “crossed the line” and apologized but maintained his concerns were about broader official privileges rather than Afenyo-Markin specifically.
