Majority Chief Whip Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor has criticized his suspension from Parliament, calling it unfair and unwarranted.
He, along with three other MPs—Frank Annoh-Dompreh, Alhassan Tampuli, and Jerry Ahmed Shaib—was suspended after a heated clash during the ministerial vetting process on January 30.
However, the suspension was overturned on February 4 following an appeal by Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin, supported by Majority Leader Mahama Ayariga.
Defending his actions, Dafeamekpor insisted he was maintaining order, not causing chaos. He denied any role in damaging property, emphasizing that multiple camera angles proved his innocence.
Addressing allegations of an altercation and inappropriate conduct, he dismissed them as fabrications. Despite the controversy, he remains committed to facilitating government business.
