Former Attorney General Godfred Yeboah Dame has accused his successor, Dr. Dominic Ayine, of systematically dropping high-profile criminal cases against National Democratic Congress (NDC) officials.
Speaking in Accra, Dame detailed a rapid succession of withdrawals initiated by Ayine shortly after assuming office, leading to acquittals and discharges of key figures, including Ato Forson, Dr. Stephen Opuni, and Dr. Johnson Pandit Asiama.
He described the pattern as a deliberate "whitewashing" effort, suggesting the NDC is using the Attorney General’s office to clear its officials of wrongdoing outside the court system.
Dame warned Ghanaians to recognize these actions as a strategic attempt to erase corruption cases from the Mahama administration, emphasizing that justice was being undermined for political gain.
