President John Dramani Mahama has directed all Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of state institutions to promptly declare their assets in line with efforts to enhance transparency and curb corruption.

Speaking at the swearing-in of deputy ministers on March 12, 2025, he emphasized that asset declaration applies to all appointees, including deputy CEOs and heads of government agencies.

He dismissed claims that some officials are exempt, stressing that the amended law covers all appointees.

Mahama has instructed the Chief of Staff to formally notify all affected officials to submit their declarations to the Auditor-General’s office.

Additionally, he cautioned deputy ministers to comply and reiterated that official travel outside Ghana must be approved by the Chief of Staff’s office.
