Do not get back to the forest reserves and water bodies for galamsey- Defence Minister warns

Defence Minister Dr. Edward Omane Boamah has issued a warning to Ghanaians. He urged them to stop mining in water bodies and forest reserves.

He stated that the Ghana Armed Forces are ready to act. They will confront anyone who ignores the government's efforts to protect these areas.

In a social media post, he emphasized the Armed Forces' commitment to defending the country.

“Do not return to the forest reserves and water bodies for galamsey,” he warned. “A word to the wise is enough! Let us get Ghana there.”

He also encouraged Ghanaians to learn from the Armed Forces' patriotism.

“Let’s cultivate the admirable mindset of our dedicated men and women in uniform,” he added.
