“Don’t Be Jealous”—Agradaa Urges NDC Supporters To Embrace Sammy Gyamfi’s Dollar Gift

Former fetish priestess turned evangelist, Patricia Asiedua, is known as Nana Agradaa. She recently addressed a viral video featuring Sammy Gyamfi. In the video, he gave her $800 and urged NDC supporters to see it as a blessing.

Agradaa dismissed criticisms about the cash gift. She encouraged supporters not to envy her fortune. “How much is $800?” she asked. She reminded them that the Bible says not to covet others' blessings.

Her comments came amid backlash from party loyalists and public figures. Former MP Ras Mubarak condemned the act, citing concerns over public perception and the struggling cedi. Despite this, Agradaa insisted the gesture was harmless.

“If Mama Pat has been blessed by Sammy Gyamfi,” she said, “then supporters should pray for similar blessings.” She warned that condemning such acts could bring curses instead of blessings.

In response to the controversy, Sammy Gyamfi issued a public apology. He clarified that his action was meant as a private charitable gesture. “This was simply a kind gesture to a fellow human being,” he wrote on social media.

Gyamfi expressed regret that his kindness became public. He acknowledged discontent within his party and said he understood their feelings. “To all comrades who are sincerely hurt by it, I am sincerely sorry,” he stated.
