Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, the NDC’s vice-presidential candidate, criticized the government for rebranding existing schools as new ones, calling it deceptive.
During her campaign in the Northern Region, she emphasized that when the NDC commissioned schools, they were fully equipped with libraries, furniture, and teaching materials.
She urged the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia government to disclose the true number of schools completed over the past eight years, highlighting that simply painting old structures was insufficient.
Prof. Opoku-Agyemang accused the government of mishandling the education sector and praised the Mahama administration for introducing key educational interventions. She urged voters to support John Dramani Mahama to address the country's challenges, especially in education.
