Don’t sensationalise missing ECG containers case – Ahiagbah

The NPP’s Director of Communications, Richard Ahiagbah, has advised the public to remain calm over the controversy surrounding missing ECG containers at Tema Port.

Speaking on The Big Issue on Channel One TV, Ahiagbah urged Ghanaians not to sensationalize the matter but to allow for a thorough investigation.

The Electricity Company of Ghana initially reported 2,491 uncleared containers filled with vital equipment needed for the national grid.

However, an audit revealed only 1,134 containers could be accounted for, leaving 1,357 unaccounted for. This revelation has sparked public concern over the management of state resources.

Ahiagbah acknowledged the seriousness of the issue but emphasized the need for a factual approach.

“Let’s trace how the containers went missing instead of compounding the issue,” he stated. He maintained that the containers could still be found and cautioned against panic-driven narratives that may obstruct the investigation.
