The Minority in Parliament has raised concerns over a surge in drug trafficking and money laundering since the NDC took office.

They criticized National Security for failing to update the public on a raid involving 12 containers of gold and cash at Sapeiman.

Additionally, they demand clarity on two suspicious flights that allegedly transported cocaine and cash into the country in March.

Addressing the press, Ranking Member on the Defence and Interior Committee, Rev. John Ntim Fordjour, urged transparency in ongoing investigations.

The Minority also linked a recent pirate attack on a Ghanaian fishing vessel to the NDC’s opposition to procuring offshore patrol vessels, warning that criminals are exploiting the country’s weakened maritime security.
