EC reschedules date for receipt of nomination to April 7 and 10

The Electoral Commission (EC) has revised the nomination dates for the Nkoranza North and South by-elections and other vacant electoral areas.

The new dates are now set for Monday, April 7, to Thursday, April 10, 2025.

According to EC Deputy Chairman of Operations, Samuel Tettey, the adjustment was necessary due to the declaration of April 1 as a public holiday by President John Dramani Mahama.

Despite the date change, the time and venues for nominations remain unchanged.

“We urge the public to take note accordingly,” the EC stated.

The rescheduling ensures a smooth process for candidates and electoral officers ahead of the upcoming by-elections.
