Professor Ransford Gyampo, a Political Science lecturer at the University of Ghana, has criticized Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo's administration for its unprecedented negatives, including the largest government size in Ghana's history and the lack of significant ministerial reshuffles.

Speaking on TV3, he praised the current president's decision to reduce ministries from 30 to 23 and limit ministers to 60, dismissing critics as uninformed.

Gyampo cited research showing Ghana could be effectively governed with as few as 30 ministers by eliminating unnecessary roles.

He condemned the creation of redundant ministries as "job for the boys," urging leaders to prioritize governance that fosters development over political patronage.

His remarks highlight the need for efficiency and accountability in Ghana's political leadership.
