Alfred Kwame Agbesi, former MP for Ashaiman, has reportedly died.
He served the Ashaiman Constituency from 2005 to 2016. In 2015, he lost his seat to Ernest Norgbey in the NDC primary.
During his time in office, Agbesi achieved many milestones. He was re-elected as an MP in 2008. He also represented Ghana in the ECOWAS Parliament.
Agbesi participated in regional discussions in 2009 and 2013. His political career faced challenges as well.
In 2017, he was involved in a serious road accident. This occurred on the Tema-Aflao Highway near Dawhenya. His vehicle collided with a truck, and he was rushed to hospital.
The cause of Agbesi's death has not been disclosed yet.
