Ex-SIC MD drops lawsuit against dismissal, opts for out-of-court settle

Hollistar Duah-Yentumi, the immediate past Managing Director of SIC Insurance, has withdrawn her legal challenge against her termination by President John Mahama.

The decision follows a crucial meeting on February 6, 2025, involving key stakeholders in the dispute.

Sources indicate that both parties have agreed to settle the matter privately, avoiding a prolonged courtroom battle.

Duah-Yentumi also retracted her lawsuit against James Agyenim-Boateng’s appointment as her successor.

Initially, she contested her dismissal, arguing her four-year contract was valid until January 2028 and required board or shareholder approval for termination.

With her legal challenge now dropped, the focus shifts to finalizing settlement terms.
