Exim Bank issues writ of summons to Chairman Wontumi

The lawyer for Andy Appiah Kubi, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP, has shared important news. The Exim Bank has issued a writ of summons to his client, Benard Antwi Bosiako, also known as Wontumi.

While he did not reveal the details of the writ, he confirmed they will respond. Andy Appiah Kubi spoke to the media about EOCO's arrest of Chairman Wontumi. He noted that the writ from Exim Bank indicates this is a civil matter, not a criminal one.

He stated, “We have received a writ of summons from Exim Bank. We will respond to it tomorrow. I am hopeful we can defend against this writ in court.” He emphasized that they view this as a civil issue due to the nature of the summons.

In related news, sources suggest that Wontumi took out a $10 million loan for maize farming. However, he reportedly abandoned the project and has not repaid the funds.
