Fidelity Bank commissions E-Library for Tesano Cluster of Schools

Fidelity Bank Ghana has shown its commitment to education. They commissioned a fully equipped E-Library for the Tesano Cluster of Schools. This project was done in collaboration with Uniwiz Foundation. It is part of the Orange Impact initiative, which aims to improve educational access.

The new E-Library includes internet-enabled computers and digital learning tools. It also features interactive software and high-speed internet access. Over 1,000 pupils and teachers will benefit from this facility. It will enhance digital literacy and promote research and reading culture.

The commissioning ceremony took place at the school. Attendees included school leaders, students, and community members. Officials from Fidelity Bank were also present. Carl Nii Ayikwei Tetteh delivered a speech on behalf of Mr. Julian Opuni, the Managing Director.

Mr. Tetteh emphasized that this initiative closes an important gap in education. He stated that many bright students lack access to basic learning tools today. Through Orange Impact, Fidelity Bank aims to support young learners and their communities.

The Tesano E-Library adds to nine other schools benefiting from this initiative. Launched in 2022 for Fidelity Bank’s 15th anniversary, it supports infrastructure upgrades and teaching resources. The project is funded by Fidelity Bank and contributions from its staff.

Uniwiz Foundation led the construction of the E-Library as a key partner in this project. Mr. Whizdom Larry, Group CEO of Uniwiz Foundation, praised Fidelity Bank's commitment to education transformation.

He noted that they created a section for traditional reading with physical books too. This balanced approach enhances learning without replacing the power of reading.

Mrs. Cynthia Aboni, Okaikwei North Municipal Educational Director, praised the bank's investment in public education. She called it a meaningful intervention addressing real challenges in schools.

She hopes other institutions will follow Fidelity Bank's example as well.

Coleman Precious Agyeiwaa, Assistant Girls’ Prefect at Tesano 2 Basic School, expressed gratitude on behalf of students: “We are so happy for this E-Library! Now we can learn more and do research.”

The commissioning reflects Fidelity Bank’s commitment to social responsibility through education initiatives. The bank continues to empower Ghanaian youth and support educational development in communities.
