Former Deputy Executive Director of the National Service Scheme (NSS), Gifty Oware-Mensah, has been released after being questioned by the National Investigations Bureau (NIB) over an alleged ghost names scandal at the NSS.
She was reportedly arrested on Friday, March 7, and granted release the following day after cooperating with investigators.
Sources suggest her interrogation is part of a broader probe into financial irregularities within the Scheme.
While Oware-Mensah has not made a public statement, she is expected to be recalled for further questioning.
Authorities have not confirmed whether any formal charges will be brought against her, leaving the extent of her involvement unclear as investigations continue.
