Former National Security Minister Kofi Totobi Quakyi has firmly denied allegations by Asokwa MP Patricia Appiagyei accusing him of involvement in post-election violence.

In a January 6 press release, Mr. Totobi Quakyi described the claims as "false, malicious, and baseless," expressing disappointment in what he termed "irresponsible statements" by a Member of Parliament.

He emphasized that such accusations harm national unity.

"As a former Minister for National Security, my dedication to Ghana's peace and stability is unquestionable," he stated, adding that he has referred the matter to the Inspector General of Police for investigation.

The former minister urged restraint and responsibility in public discourse, reaffirming his commitment to Ghana’s unity and calling for calm as due process unfolds.
