Dr. Clement Apaak, MP for Builsa South, has restated the NDC's commitment to providing free tuition for first-year students in public universities.

Speaking on Citi FM, he clarified that the program is voluntary, allowing parents to opt-out if they prefer.

He emphasized that this initiative, a key promise by John Mahama during the 2024 campaign, reflects the party’s dedication to broadening access to higher education, especially for underprivileged students.

Dr. Apaak highlighted the NDC’s electoral success as a mandate to fulfill their promises, despite skepticism from some Ghanaians about funding.

The party assures that the plan is well-researched and feasible, aiming to ease the financial burden on families and improve access to tertiary education.
