Edmund Agboh has been confirmed as the new Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Ga East. He promises to lead with integrity, transparency, and a commitment to inclusive development.
His confirmation ceremony included dignitaries like the Greater Accra Regional Minister and local MPs. Agboh expressed gratitude to John Dramani Mahama and the National Democratic Congress for their trust in him.
He stated, “Our journey ahead demands unity, accountability, and innovation.” He aims to revitalize local governance under the RESET agenda of his party.
Agboh addressed challenges such as inadequate funding and delays in disbursing the District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF). He plans to boost internal funds through fair revenue collection systems.
For road infrastructure, he will rehabilitate critical roads like Narhman-Musuku and Pure Water roads. This will help ease traffic congestion and prevent flooding.
He also plans to enhance local roads using assembly machinery managed by new technical staff. Markets and lorry parks will receive improvements, ensuring traders do not lose space or livelihood.
Agboh is committed to addressing water scarcity and poor sanitation. He will enforce National Sanitation Day activities firmly.
He pledged to combat illegal acquisition of state lands with help from security agencies. The MCE emphasized collaboration with MPs, traditional leaders, religious groups, and civil society for united development efforts.
