Galamsey: All seized excavators will be returned if NPP wins Election 2024 – NAPO

Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the NPP’s vice-presidential candidate, has pledged that an NPP government will return all seized excavators confiscated during the illegal mining crackdown.

Speaking in Prestea Huni Valley and Mpohor, he assured residents that the NPP flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, does not intend to ban small-scale mining.

He emphasized the party's focus on regulating the sector to prevent environmental harm, particularly to water bodies.

Prempeh also criticized the NDC for their harsh stance on small-scale miners, promising peaceful mining under a future NPP government.
