Deputy Energy Minister Collins Adomako-Mensah has highlighted the transformative potential of green hydrogen for Africa's renewable energy landscape at a symposium.
Ghana aims to achieve 10% modern renewable energy capacity by 2030 and net-zero emissions by 2070.
Ongoing projects include a 166MW solar capacity and a 200MW solar park by the Bui Power Authority.
Adomako-Mensah emphasized the economic and environmental benefits of green hydrogen, noting its role in Ghana's energy transition framework.
He also acknowledged collaborations like the Ghana Go Solar project and called for ongoing research partnerships in green hydrogen technologies, commending the Ghana Communication Technology University for its contributions.
