Majority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin has expressed confidence that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will regain power in the 2028 general elections.
Speaking after Parliament resumed on December 16, Afenyo-Markin assured Ghanaians that the NPP is committed to reflecting on its mistakes, rebuilding, and earning back the trust of the electorate.
He emphasized that while the NPP respects the mandate given to the NDC, the party's focus will be on constructive opposition, holding the government accountable, and engaging in responsible debate.
Afenyo-Markin added that the NPP will work towards unity and strategic planning to return to office in the next election, with a commitment to lawful and peaceful opposition.
