Outgoing Majority Leader and Effutu MP, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, has predicted that Ghanaians will soon uncover the "true colours" of the incoming National Democratic Congress (NDC) government.
Speaking after President Akufo-Addo’s final State of the Nation Address on January 3, he lauded the NPP's achievements, including resilience during COVID-19, consistent public sector salary payments, and the Free SHS policy, which provided education to over 5.7 million Ghanaians.
Afenyo-Markin warned the NDC MPs-elect that their performance over the next four years will be closely scrutinized.
Reflecting on the NPP’s legacy, he stated that democracy thrived under Akufo-Addo and maintained that posterity would judge their administration.
“Soon, Ghanaians will see the true colours of the umbrella,” he concluded.
