Gomoa East NDC members appeal for fairness in DCE appointment

Some members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Gomoa East Constituency are urging President John Dramani Mahama to ensure fairness in his appointments, particularly for the District Chief Executive (DCE) position.

Following the vetting process for MMDCEs in the Central Region, party members are advocating for Anthony Afissah, the Constituency Chairman, citing the need for regional balance.

They argue that Afissah is the only finalist from the southern and coastal areas of the Constituency among the top contenders. With the current MP and Regional Minister both from northern parts, they believe appointing another northern candidate would be unfair.

Emphasizing the importance of balanced representation, they hope President Mahama will consider their concerns to strengthen party unity and enhance future electoral success in the Constituency.
