The Ministry of Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovations has dismissed Kwadwo Gyamfi Osafo-Maafo as Director of Cyber Security at the National Communications Authority (NCA).
In a letter dated February 14, 2025, the ministry stated that his termination was effective immediately, directing him to hand over to the Acting Director-General of the NCA.
As per his appointment terms, he will receive three months’ salary in lieu of notice.
The letter, signed by Chief Director Alexander Yaw Appiah, thanked Osafo-Maafo for his service. The dismissal has raised speculation about political and administrative shifts within the ministry.
The President was also copied in the termination letter, signaling high-level government involvement in the decision.
