An Accra High Court has allowed the prosecution to recall a witness in the ongoing trial of Assin North MP, James Gyakye Quayson, who faces charges of forgery and perjury.
Principal State Attorney Esi Dentaa Yankah argued that the fifth prosecution witness had identified a missing page in an exhibit during cross-examination.
Recalling the witness, she said, would ensure the court had the complete document for a fair determination of the case.
Defense lawyer Tsatsu Tsikata did not oppose the motion.
Justice Mary Maame Ekue Yanzuh granted the request and directed the prosecution to serve Quayson with requested documents before the next hearing on February 12, 2025.
Quayson has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
