Works and Housing Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah expressed relief that the Saglemi Housing Project remains unaffected by a recent fire.

The blaze, which destroyed a container housing the project's offices, was contained by the Ghana Fire Service before it could spread.

Despite initial reports suggesting that the entire project had been damaged, Nkrumah clarified that only old materials and a shed were involved in the fire. He emphasized that the main housing project itself was untouched and encouraged the continuation of work.

His comments came after an inspection of the site, where he reassured the public that the project’s progress was not hindered.
