Former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo expressed deep satisfaction with his presidency, highlighting peaceful transitions and democracy’s growth as key achievements.
Speaking at a thanksgiving mass at Accra Ridge Church on January 18, 2025, he said, “I came in peace, and I have left in peace.”
Akufo-Addo emphasized his administration’s accomplishments, including Free SHS, industrialization, healthcare, and infrastructure, while acknowledging the COVID-19 pandemic as his greatest challenge. He credited Ghana’s resilience and divine intervention for overcoming the crisis.
The Anglican Church honored him with a citation celebrating his contributions to education, economic growth, and democracy.
Rt. Rev. Dr. Daniel Sylvanus Mensah Torto praised Akufo-Addo’s health and safety throughout his tenure as evidence of God’s faithfulness.
The event drew notable attendees, including Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo.
