Chairman of the parliamentary committee investigating the January 30 vetting chaos, Emmanuel Bedzrah, has dismissed allegations of bias from the Minority Caucus.
Responding to their demand for his removal, Bedzrah insisted he remains impartial, urging Minority MPs to testify.
“We were surprised they didn’t show up. If they fail to appear on Monday, we will invoke constitutional provisions and standing orders,” he warned.
The Minority claims Bedzrah has prejudged the issue and called for a reconstitution of the committee.
Committee member Kwame Anyimadu Antwi stressed that a leadership change is necessary for credibility.
The committee, set up by Speaker Alban Bagbin, is probing the violence that erupted over a disputed vetting schedule, which led to clashes and damage to parliamentary equipment.
