Wengam expressed that while he shares in Mahama's achievements and challenges, he maintains a clear boundary between faith and politics, offering spiritual guidance without interfering in political decisions.

He shared a cordial, personal relationship with the President, having known him for over a decade, but remains committed to advising based on scripture. Wengam highlighted that he has never used his position to influence political outcomes, respecting Mahama’s leadership decisions.
