Cynthia Morrison, former Minister for Gender, Children, and Social Protection, is committed to her husband. She stated she would not leave him even if she caught him with another woman.
In an interview with Joy News, she emphasized the strength of their marriage. She prefers to work on her relationship rather than risk a new one.
“Even if you tell me you saw my husband with another lady, I will not leave him,” she said. “If I see him with a lady, I will just pick him up and we will come home.”
Mrs. Morrison believes relationships require maintenance and effort. “I’m telling you this on national television because I don’t know the next man I might meet,” she explained. “He could be worse than my husband. So whatever you have, you polish it.”
Her comments followed a discussion about political challenges during her tenure. She recalled when her former aide, Chris Arthur, misled constituents about her husband's support for his candidacy against her in the NPP primaries.
Cynthia Morrison ran as an independent candidate in the 2024 parliamentary elections after losing the NPP primary. However, she was unsuccessful in retaining the Agona West seat.
