Minister of State in Charge of Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, has defended the rise in budget allocations, explaining that increased staffing naturally leads to higher costs.
Speaking on State of Affairs, he highlighted that National Security personnel had risen from 1,200 to 11,657, justifying the increased expenditure.
He alleged that some funds were misused for political propaganda, including payments to communicators and social media campaigns.
Addressing claims about his office’s budget, he dismissed suggestions that GHS 8.8 million was allocated for trivial expenses, calling such claims “ignorant.”
