Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A Plus, has challenged Lands Minister Armah Kofi Buah’s approach to fighting illegal mining, urging him to go beyond naming and shaming and start arresting the real masterminds.
His comments follow the minister’s claim that politicians obstructing the galamsey fight will be exposed.
A Plus argues that while powerful figures are merely named, poor laborers face arrest and jail time. In a social media post, he questioned why minor offenders are imprisoned while wealthy financiers of illegal mining walk free.
He urged authorities to enforce real justice rather than performative actions, emphasizing that without prosecuting those funding galamsey, the fight against illegal mining will remain ineffective.
