Individuals behind collapsed banks will be punished – Mahama

President John Dramani Mahama has issued a warning. Those responsible for the collapse of banks will face consequences. This action aims to deter others from similar misconduct.

The investigation is part of a broader effort. The goal is to ensure transparency and restore public trust in Ghana's financial system.

During a national address on May 7, Mahama highlighted his commitment to accountability. He emphasized the need for justice in the financial sector.

Mahama announced that Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson has launched an inquiry. This inquiry focuses on the collapse of indigenous banks and financial institutions in Ghana.

He stated, “Make no mistakes, facts will be unearthed.” He assured that culprits would be punished and lessons learned.

Mahama also mentioned he would punish appointees who violate the Code of Conduct.
