Is This a Mobile Forex Bureau? NPP communicator mocks Sammy Gyamfi over viral dollar video

A viral video shows Acting Ghana Gold Board CEO Sammy Gyamfi giving dollar notes to prophetess Nana Agradaa. This has sparked controversy. New Patriotic Party (NPP) communicator Philip Twum Yeboah questioned Gyamfi’s wealth and the unusual setting of the transaction.

On Movement TV’s Movement in the Morning show, Twum Yeboah expressed his confusion. He sarcastically asked if Gyamfi is now a forex bureau officer. He also wondered if Gyamfi's luxury Range Rover had become a mobile currency exchange.

Twum Yeboah urged the Financial Intelligence Centre to investigate. “If he is spending dollars, he should explain where they come from,” he said. He emphasized the need for a deeper probe into Gyamfi’s finances.

Meanwhile, Nana Agradaa has tried to calm the situation. In an Instagram live broadcast, she promised to return the money and double it. She stated she does not want to harm a young man’s career.

Agradaa framed her response as a moral stand against criticism. The viral video has sparked broader political discussions. Some members of the Minority in Parliament are calling for Gyamfi’s suspension to maintain public trust.
