Former Chief Executive Officer of the State Transport Corporation (STC), Nana Akomea, has criticized President John Mahama over his decision to revoke public sector appointments made after December 7, 2024.
The Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, recently directed that all appointments and recruitments made after the elections be annulled, citing concerns over governance principles. The move has sparked debate, with many questioning its motives.
Speaking on Peace FM, Akomea questioned the rationale behind the revocation.
"Is this Mahama's method of resetting the nation as he pledged during his campaign?" he asked, adding that Mahama made similar decisions in December 2016.
Akomea further raised concerns about whether a government loses its authority to govern after an election defeat.
