Former General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. John Boadu, attended Easter Sunday service at the Pentecostal Church of Christ in Kumasi. The vibrant service included worship, reflection, and renewed hope.
During his message, Mr. Boadu shared lessons from the biblical story of Joseph. He emphasized that betrayal and hardship can lead to divine elevation. Despite being sold into slavery by his brothers, Joseph rose to prominence. He became a source of salvation for his family and an entire nation.
“Joseph’s brothers thought they ended his destiny,” Mr. Boadu said. “But God had already written his story.” He noted that pain and trials can be part of the path to greatness. With God's involvement, everything works together for good.
Mr. Boadu then addressed the NPP's current position in opposition. He encouraged party members not to lose heart during this time. “God knows why the NPP is in opposition today,” he declared, receiving cheers from the congregation. “At the right time, He will restore our mandate.”
He urged everyone to hold onto their faith. The resurrection of Christ serves as a reminder that glory follows suffering. “Easter is about victory and renewal through Christ,” he said. “Let us carry that message into every aspect of our lives.”
Mr. Boadu was joined by his personal aide and close associates at the service. A group of NPP supporters also participated in the Easter celebration. The service concluded with prayers for national unity, peace, and divine guidance for Ghana.
